Upcycled Materials: Baby Pink Chinese buttons, Sakura flowers carved shell, shiny full moon mother of pearl shell and upcycled beads from old jewelry. About 20% of Bloom Brightly is made from upcycled materials.
The tulip brooch is new and I love how it is wired in a way that pushes itself up from the ground to bloom brightly looking up.
Just like us ladies, we can bloom brightly because we are real to ourselves and the people around us. Putting on a mask daily to work, to school, even to church, is just too tiring. In this sense, life in plastic can't be all that fantastic afterall. Being real to ourselves helps us to bloom brightly whenever we are.
With all the hype with the Barbie movie, while pink has never been my natural go to when I create, but I m glad that I am able to explore and stretch myself to create in this colour palate this time round. Still making more pieces. Stay tuned to my updates.
