When you pretend to be someone you are not, you are not living out the full potential, gifting and person God made you to be. Behold Him rightly and you will become who you truly are. 
Confront your fears, rejection and the lies people say you are and shrug them off. You are created to be more than careless words, perceived labels and silent judgement. They are afraid and not perfected with love. You who behold Him rightly, can afford to be the "bigger person" and be grace.
This piece was created a couple of months back, but I just had to hide this piece away for a while to see what was really in my heart. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
Similarly, out of the abundance of the heart, the artist speaks with her creation. I find myself grappling with a bouquet of lilies of the valley, pearls of wisdom that are not round and broken chains... And literally Masquerade is created from a lily of the valley brooch, baroque freshwater pearls and a upcycled chain of pearls.
But that season ended with me decided, I do not need to pretend to be someone I am not so that I can be accepted. I will be boldly me, and let the others adjust. If you are like me and struggle to speak up because you are afraid of what others think, don't be. You can still be kind, wise and you. The others will adjust because they say they love Jesus.
